The Denver Polo Classic is one of Colorado's most long-standing polo traditions. Originally founded over 35 years ago by Denver Polo Club, the event evolved into the Denver 20 30 Polo Classic, before being renamed the Denver Polo Classic—an annual weekend-long social fundraiser hosted in Littleton, Colorado. The weekend is replete with live entertainment, a silent auction and other philanthropic opportunities. While The Denver Polo Classic is among the oldest Denver charity polo events, there are also other polo events in the Denver area that welcome guests, including Denver Polo Club's annual Sunday Funday series . . A Legacy of Polo and Philanthropy The tradition of polo and philanthropy is a long-standing one that blends the thrill of polo with the power of giving. The Denver Polo Classic is a successful example of charity event in Denver, in which proceeds support local nonprofits. This model is common throughout the world, and right here in Colorado, where at Denver Polo Club, nonprofits can host their own polo events to support their fundraising efforts layering on an elite polo match with other event features such as gourmet food, live music and entertainment, silent auctions, corporate sponsorship, and as many (or as few) guests as they wish.
